A sad update for our little homestead. We had our first loss. One of our dogs, Tansy, passed away in May 2023. She had been sickly for a few weeks and we were keeping her as comfortable as possible.
She was the only puppy that we kept from a litter we had back in 2015. I loved that she was solid white like her dad (also pictured below) and that she was bi-eyed. She was always very shy and timid with everyone that she met, but loved to cuddle on the couch with me. She was the sweetest doggo.
This morning, my toddler went out to her favorite spot on our porch, and she was not there. He said “Uh oh! Dog! Where go?” I’m so sad that he probably won’t remember her. I think he was her favorite little human. He loved to help get her food everyday.
We are all heartbroken. A loss is never easy. Rest in peace sweet Tansy girl.
