About us
It has always been our dream to own a homestead and we are finally here! Brian and I both loved growing up on small family farms. We have a tiny bit of experience caring for livestock and small-scale gardening. The long-term goal for our homestead is to be able to grow and harvest all of the meat and produce that our little family needs.
Happening now
Currently on our homestead we have two dogs, two cats, and five children. We public school, homeschool, cloth diaper, and we are in the throes of potty training a toddler. I’m sure we probably seem crazy for taking on more projects, but we are excited to start our homesteading journey.
Happening soon
Our first project will be chickens. It is going to be an interesting adventure with a bit of chaos sprinkled in since we will be using what we have to build what we need. We are going to set up our brooder this weekend! I will vlog the entire process of getting the chickens set up so look for that video on YouTube in the next few weeks.
